Miscellaneous Bites: August 24, 2018

  • My Favorite Murder’s Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark addressed the podcast’s recent controversies at the top of their most recent episodes. Seems like their beloved Facebook Group, which housed over 200k members, is shuttered for good. (Episode link)
  • The NPR Politics team is getting ready for mid-terms. This week, they announced a special nine-part weekly radio show leading up to the 2018 midterm elections, with the final installment dropping on November 9 with results coverage and elections. • Mitra Kaboli, formerly of The Heart, is joining the 30 for 30 Podcast team at ESPN. (Jody Avirgan’s Twitter)
  • Apparently Michael Barbaro was on-stage at PRPD when the twin Manafort-Cohen stories broke earlier this week. It’s hard to be the daily news podcast king. (KPCC’s Kristen Muller’s Twitter)
